Lighthouse endeavors to build equitable communities that alleviate poverty. At our Emergency Family Shelter in Pontiac, children make up the majority of the people we serve. Last year, 68% of our shelter residents were children, including 175 under the age of 12. We aim to provide strollers, car seats, and booster seats, helping parents safely transport their children to childcare, medical appointments, and other important destinations, removing barriers that could keep them from long-term stability.
