$10,000 grants for Michigan nonprofits

This holiday season, Chief Financial Credit Union is giving $20,000 to Michigan nonprofits through the Chief Cares Holiday Nonprofit Video Contest. Send us a 60 to 90 second video about who you serve and what a $10,000 grant would help you do next. Then the public votes.

There are two categories, each with a $10,000 grant:

  • Under $2 Million: annual revenue under $2 million
  • $2 Million and Up: annual revenue of $2 million or more

Voting runs in two rounds. Every approved entry is in Round 1. The top 3 in each category move on to Round 2, and everyone starts back at zero votes. Whoever has the most Round 2 votes in each category wins. We'll announce both winners on Giving Tuesday, December 1.

You don't need a production budget. A video shot on your phone is perfect.

Enter Your Nonprofit

How To Enter
  1. Make sure you're eligible. You need to be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving Michigan.
  2. Record a 60 to 90 second video that answers two questions: Who do you serve? What would a $10,000 grant help you do next?
  3. Pick your category based on annual revenue from your most recent Form 990: Under $2 Million, or $2 Million and Up.
  4. Fill out the entry form and upload your video by October 31 at 11:59 PM ET.
  5. Watch your inbox. Once we approve your entry, you'll get a link to your voting page and a media kit to help you promote it. Share it with your supporters when voting opens November 1.

One entry per organization. We don't judge production quality, so your phone is perfect. Want help recording?
